The key exhibit of Technodinamika at Army 2016 is the prototype of the electric wheel drive chassis, designed for carrier-based aircraft. The invention will allow the aircraft to move around the deck without using the main engines and tugs (including reversing).

The system can be used on the deck of an aircraft carrier as well as at a military airfield. It will increase the maneuverability of the aircraft where space is limited.

"Our primary task was to determine the surface friction coefficient. Based on this data, we have developed a future product that is ready to be scaled for different carrier-based aircraft at the request of the customer", stressed Dmitry Kuderko, Deputy Director of Technodinamika’s center for the design of new technique, the head of the project.

The system is presented at Technodinamika’s booth as a part of an interactive installation with three video walls, creating a 3D-effect of the presence on the deck of an aircraft carrier and a real chassis, driven by electricity (controlled with the touch screen). Guests of the stand can set the movement direction for the wheel in the virtual space resembling a computer game. "The purpose of the exhibit is to show new possibilities of using the system in any weight and size limitations", stressed Technodinamika representative. The company presented a similar development to civil aircraft at MAKS 2015 airshow.
