Bal-E coastal missile system with Kh-35UE missile // ATO.RU

Naval systems occupy a significant place in the Tactical Missiles Corporation (TMC) production. Supersonic cruise missile Yakhont (3M-55E) serves as the backbone for operational-tactical class systems, which can be based both on ships and mobile onshore complexes. Ground-launched anti-ship missile system Bastion is able to provide cover for the coastal zone of 600 km and engage enemy ships of any class at a distance of 300 kilometers under fire and electronic countermeasures. Bal-E missile system is designed to engage surface ships with a displacement of up to 5,000 tons and sea transports.

The Bal-E complex is able to engage up to 32 targets at the same time. It is equipped with a unified anti-ship missile (ASM) Kh-35E (3M-24E - marine version), which is now being replaced by a new generation of guided missile Kh-35UE also developed by TMC. Its performance characteristics have been significantly improved. A combined guidance system with the use of inertial and satellite navigation as well as active-passive homing device provides Kh-35UE with higher accuracy and noise immunity. Modern digital avionics allows implementing flexible and effective target guidance and attack programs. The use of Kh-35UE as part of Bal-E anti-ship complex, as well as in ship-based Uran-E missile complex significantly enhances the combat capabilities of these systems. Kh-35UE is virtually in no way inferior to modern foreign anti-ship missiles of this class (Harpoon, Exocet, etc.) overcoming them on a number of parameters. Bal-E and Bastion missile systems complement each other, and their integrated use can solve coastal defense tasks in the most efficient way.
