In December 2013, S7 Engineering training center in Domodedovo airport launched the Airbus A320 maintenance training program for engineering and technical personnel. A dedicated computer class equipped with certified software was deployed in Domodedovo last November.

Training of specialists to maintain the aircraft by the European aerospace manufacturer was developed in line with the long-term MRO partnership agreement signed by S7 Engineering and Airbus last summer. Under the auspices of the agreement, the Russian party is given access to Airbus training and certification programs now available to its own personnel and technicians of other A320 family operators in Russia. Among other steps the cooperation calls for customization of Airbus training technologies to the Russian language and country profile.

“This partnership will allow us initially to acquire Airbus’ standards and skills and later to conduct maintenance training for the company’s specialist and also for Russian airlines in their own language to Airbus’ standards”, says Vladimir Perekrestov, CEO of Engineering holding, S7 Engineering’s parent company.
