Rockwell Collins Senior Vice President Colin MAHONEY: "Russia is a big element of our future"

Russia becomes open market for global aerospace suppliers both due to the high number of foreign commercial airliners in operation and to the international cooperation programs started by the local manufacturers. Rockwell Collins Senior Vice President Colin MAHONEY told Show Observer what his company is ready to offer for the Russian market.

— Mr. Mahoney, how important is Russia for Rockwell Collins? 
— Great question. Russia is part of the famous BRIC. When we look at the emerging markets, including BRIC, their growth rates are three times higher than of the developed international markets. So clearly we focus on spending time and efforts on growing relationships and infrastructure, people and capability within the emerging markets. We can’t do them all, so we’ve now released a very short list, and Russia is on that. So now if you ask how important Russia is to Rockwell Collins, it is very important. So myself and my peers view Russia and Russian aviation as areas that we can focus on to define the growth of the company on the long time. That’s not going to happen overnight. We’ll position us to be a better partner to the Russian industry in the long term. Russia is a big element of our future.
